Miter uses record IDs to match data between the two systems. As long as your IDs are consistent between Miter and Procore before the first sync, Miter will match and update existing records rather than creating new ones. Yes. Miter pulls Procore projects in as jobs and imports Procore cost codes as activities, preserving codes and names. Cost codes pull based on the jobs they’re assigned to in Procore, so a code must be active on at least one job to sync. Your project structure refreshes in Miter every morning at 5 AM ET, or on demand. When project status changes in Procore, Miter reflects those changes so field crews only see active, relevant jobs.

Yes. Quantities tracked in Miter as a custom field on timesheets are pushed to Procore as actual production quantities, keeping cost-to-complete reporting current. Budgeted quantities must be set up in Procore first. This is especially useful for contractors who track units of work alongside labor hours.

Classifications are pulled from Procore into Miter and matched to standard classifications. If a standard classification matches a name in a pay rate group, Miter automatically applies the correct pay rate to the timesheet. Classifications do not sync from Miter back to Procore.

Yes. The Miter and Procore integration is fully API-based, with no file uploads, manual imports, or CSV exports. Projects, cost codes, cost types, timesheets, quantities, employees, and classifications all sync through the API, on demand or via a daily 5 AM ET sync. Among Procore integrations, Miter’s connection is purpose-built for construction payroll and field time tracking.

Miter pushes team members to Procore as employee records with first name, last name, and employee ID. Procore requires a project to be associated with team members on push, so a project must already be synced from Procore into Miter. Miter matches by employee ID to avoid creating duplicate records.

Hours, cost codes, cost types, work dates, and worker identity always push to Procore with each timesheet. Pushing gross labor dollars is optional and requires one-time setup: a Procore administrator creates a custom field on Timecard Entries, and you link that field in Miter’s Procore integration settings under Timesheets Sync. Once linked, every timesheet push includes the dollar amount. Employee pay rates and fully burdened labor cost (employer taxes, benefits, and overhead) do not push to Procore under any configuration.
