Performance reviews are one of the most important ways construction companies develop and retain great people, but most performance management software wasn’t built for how contractors actually work.

Field employees move between jobsites. Supervisors change from project to project. Crews aren’t sitting behind a desk completing reviews on a laptop once a year. As a result, many contractors are still managing reviews through spreadsheets, documents, and disconnected HR systems.

SAN FRANCISCO (June 2, 2026)Miter, a workforce management platform built for the construction industry, today announced the launch of Miter Performance, performance management software designed for how construction companies actually evaluate and develop their employees.

Performance reviews in construction are uniquely complex. Employees frequently move between jobsites during a review cycle, work under multiple supervisors, and spend little time behind a computer. Meanwhile, feedback shared on the jobsite rarely makes its way back to HR in a structured or consistent way. By the time review season arrives, managers are often relying on memory, scattered notes, or informal conversations to evaluate months of field performance. As a result, many contractors still rely on spreadsheets, paper forms, and disconnected review processes that create inconsistent evaluations and limit employee development.

Miter Performance is built for that reality. HR teams can run flexible review cycles, collect 360-degree feedback from multiple supervisors and peers, and manage reviews for both field and office employees from a single system. Employees can complete reviews on mobile or desktop, including in the same app they already use to clock in, view pay stubs, and manage HR tasks.
